Something Pongs Badly?: Smell and Noise from a new Waste Transfer Station at Roundhill, Brighton

Residents in Brighton, Sussex have been enduring the smell and noise from a Waste Transfer Station that was recently built in a residential conservation area called Roundhill. Here is a link to the residents association website, Roundhill.org, asking for people to file complaints about the smell, noise, and air particulate pollution. Their website has just been updated with complaints as recent as January and February 2010 of the pong experienced in the neighbourhood...

"...Yes you could at least use our experience as evidence of the effects. We were assured during the planning process that there would be no impact of odour and particulates. That was, as it turns out, completely wrong.
Noise pollution has also been more problematic than forecast with vehicles unloading refuse throughout the night..."
